The MAA Worldwide (MAAW) is truly unique. Over the past 50 years the association has evolved to meet the demands and ever changing roles of the entrepreneurs it represents. It remains focused on understanding and addressing both the business and personal needs of principals, CEOs, presidents, directors, and senior personnel of marketing communication companies, including agencies and marketing support organisations, regardless of discipline, sector, size or geography.
The MAAW also owns the GLOBES award programme, now in its 30th year. Every marketing communications campaign that has won an award in its country of origin is eligible for entry. Entries are judged online by over 150 marketers including agency heads, creatives, brand owners and academics. The winners receive a prestigious GLOBE award in recognition of them being the very best of the best… in the world.
The association's mostly independent members are from across the globe and meet once or twice a year (normally in Europe and the USA) for annual summits. These unique events allow its members to network, collaborate, mentor and share intelligence with their peers as well as high-profile guest speakers. The subjects they discuss and debate are all issues that CEOs and principals face every day. The workshops, an integral and key part of the summits, allow open discussion and without fail always produce ideas and approaches that change the way we work and as a result, the way we live.
