In 2017, Europe has been facing a major immigration crisis, and when it comes to refugees, people and especially medias usually speak about the data, statistics, immigration waves, even terrorism, but never about humans. They are often referred to as refugees and thus dehumanized, provoking a certain fear of strangers among other people, who are therefore inclined to fall back on nationalist ideas, specifically regarding the topic of national identity.

Thus, the FrExit was one of the most discussed topics during the presidential election especially because of the immigration, refugees and posted workers issues.

And few weeks before the French presidential election, Marine Le Pen, the far-right leader was leading in voting intentions during the first ten weeks of Presitrack (weekly poll) with a steady progression, until reaching a score of 28% on March 17.
