While the airline industry is booming in India, airline operators have been grappling with financial losses, in fact, one of India’s oldest airline, Jet Airways, shutdown operations earlier this year and the high-profile Kingfisher Airlines was grounded in 2012.
To survive, and become profitable, airline operators need to find new ways to earn revenues from their customers, said Sunil Bhaskaran, managing director and chief executive officer, AirAsia India.
