Turkcell: What was not up and running?

Turkcell, a mobile phone operator, launched What Was Not Up and Running?, a campaign in Turkey to increase downloads of the communication app, BiP messenger.

Objectives and strategy

Our main goal was to increase the downloads. We were already advertising on relevant keywords but we were also looking for real time opportunities to expand our reach. We were also closely monitoring what our competitors were doing. We were trying to seize every opportunity to convince WhatsApp users to switch to Bip.

Execution and media

One day WhatsApp, crashed and we've very quickly start advertising on WhatsApp keywords. We recommended Bip to users who couldn't connect to WhatsApp and were looking for a solution. Google became our main platform.
