Keeping up with the rugby fans: Data-led insights on rugby fans in APAC – 2018 games

Presents findings from a study that analysed data of 60,000 rugby fans to provide deeper insights for sports administrators, event organizers, sponsors, tourism officials and marketers ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
  • The Study looked at rugby fans across 12 tournaments and matches in Asia Pacific from April 2018 - July 2018, finding an average male/female ratio of 57.3%/42.7% at the games.
  • 70% of the audience who attended matches were in the 18-36 age group and 30% were above 36 years of age.
  • Fans from Japan and Australia were seen attending all the rugby games in the study, while rugby fans in host cities across 12 matches were seen travelling mostly to Japan, UK, USA, and Australia.
  • KFC was the most preferred fast food joint among tourists and local rugby fans followed...
