Every Indian has grown up learning the lesson on “unity in diversity” in middle school. The phrase was coined by Jawaharlal Nehru and we have all imbibed it in its true meaning of being a “state of togetherness or integrity despite the presence of infinite diversity”. We live within this diversity of languages, faiths, castes and creeds, and carry great pride in the strong thread of unity which binds us all.
