Cracow is one of the most polluted cities in Poland.
There are many sources of smog, but the main one is from so-called low-stack emissions, especially smoke emissions from old coal-fired furnaces and car traffic.
Diagnosis
According to research, more than half of the smog-causing pollution is generated by old home furnaces.
The results of the study commissioned by ArcelorMittal formed the basis for the program strategy and for establishing formal cooperation with the municipality and implementing educational and communication activities.
