Burger King, a fast-food restaurant chain, increased sales in Brazil by launching an AR feature for its mobile app that burned every McDonald's ad, turning them into Burger King ads that offered a coupon for a free whopper.

Objectives

The fast food market in Brazil has always been a competitive one. However, there was one service that seemed to be leveraged by all Burger King's main competitors and that put those brands even closer to our consumers: their apps. It seems simple, but with limited space on their phone for photos, social media and brand apps, gaining a place on Brazilian consumers' phones as that undeletable, indispensable app was the ultimate win.
