Clothing, gifts and food to be focus of festive season in Philippines

An overview of spending plans for the festive season in 2020 in the Philippines.

One-third (31%) of smartphone users in the Philippines plan to buy apparel and clothing this festive season, the most popular category, according to data from mobile advertising platform InMobi.

Gifts and gift cards follow, with one-quarter (24%) planning to buy. Food and drinks places third at one-fifth (21%).

The research also finds that one-quarter (26%) of Filipino consumers plan to buy in November, but a larger share (34%) expect to wait until December.
