CES 2022 demonstrates how “pandemic pivots” have transformed consumer tech usage

Various behavioral “pivots” inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic are transforming how consumers use technology and are likely to exert a lasting impact on popular habits.

Several “pandemic pivots” are reshaping the consumer technology landscape – to the benefit of “smart” products, premium brands and marketers that blend cutting-edge hardware and engaging digital experiences.

This argument was outlined by Steve Koenig, vp/research at trade body the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), at CES 2022. The CTA’s annual innovation confab has witnessed the on-going challenges of responding to COVID-19 first-hand, as rising concerns over the Omicron variant diminished in-person attendance at its flagship event.
