Nationwide, the insurance provider, is drawing on the power of sporting and media influencers to amplify the off-field achievements of high-profile National Football League (NFL) players and generate awareness and donations for philanthropic initiatives in the process.

More specifically, the financial-services brand is a sponsor of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, an honor given out by the NFL to recognize gridiron stars for their volunteer and charity work, as well as their on-field excellence.
