India’s festive season 2021: Winning strategies for brands

India has one of the longest festive seasons in the world and consumer confidence is at an all-time high as the country emerges from COVID-19, with shoppers planning to spend more during this year’s festive period.

Indian consumers are positive about this festive season, according to the InMobi Festive Season Consumer Survey 2021.

“Two in three consumers intend to shop this festive season. Each consumer has more budget for shopping this year,” said Rajesh Pantina, marketing director APAC at InMobi, the Bengaluru-based mobile-marketing cloud technology company. He was speaking at InMobi’s virtual summit “Building Resilient Brands: India Festive Season 2021”.

The 2021 festive season is being driven by a combination of improving vaccination numbers, the return of the Indian Premier League, the cricket season, back-to-back e-commerce sales days, and Dussehra and Diwali celebrations.
