Background

Our ageing population is driving a growing demand for adult social care ('ASC') services and compounding the sector's capacity challenges caused by higher-than-average vacancy rates. At any one time, there are around 122,000 ASC vacancies across England, with an expected additional 580,000 people needed by 2035.

The Department of Health and Social Care's (DHSC) resultant campaign 'Every day is different' (created by agency Engine) aimed to address this massive recruitment challenge.
