Moutai and Instagram see the largest growth in brand value

An overview of the 100 most valuable global brands in 2019 and 2020.

Alcohol brand Moutai and social media platform Instagram have seen the largest increase in brand value this year, according to the latest BrandZ report from WPP and Kantar. The study combines financial information and consumer opinion across 51 markets to calculate a brand's individual value.

Moutai's brand value has risen 58% (+US$19.8bn) to US$53.8bn this year, moving its position from the 35th most valuable brand to now the 18th. Instagram rose from 44th to 29th, rising 47% (+US$13.3bn) to US$41.5bn in 2020.
