NBC's Peacock was the most attractive video-on-demand (VoD) service in the United States in the third quarter of 2020, attracting 17.2% of new subscribers, according to data from Kantar.
Value for money was the main driver of subscriptions for Peacock, which offers three pricing tiers that range from free to $9.99 a month, with two of these including advertising. Following this, 25% of new subscribers said the 'variety of TV series' and 'specific content' was their primary motivator for joining, showing the importance of quality content.
