Print newspaper purchases are falling in Latin America, according to the latest data from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. Argentina registered the steepest year-on-year drop, falling 4.9 percentage points (pp) from 2017. Brazil and Chile saw drops of 2.0pp and 1.9pp, while Mexico saw a smaller decline of 0.6pp. Global print newspaper purchases fell 2.1pp last year.
