Methodology & Sources

 Internet data from 2007 onwards are drawn from the IAB Europe AdEx Benchmark study. Mobile data for 2019 are WARC estimates.

 Online classified is defined as a fee paid by an advertiser to place an ad or listing around a specific vertical such as automotive, recruiting and real estate, regardless of the outcome of the ad (i.e. the fee is paid even if there is no ‘sale’).

Data are net of discounts, include agency commission and exclude production costs....
