77% of Myanmar consumers say brands need to continue communicating during COVID-19

Three-quarters (77%) of consumers in Myanmar say brands should keep communicating with customers during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, according to research from mobile advertising platform Humology. This is the most common expectation that consumers have of brands.

Over half of consumers expect brands to provide information about product health and safety (54%) while over one-third want compassionate messaging during this period (38%).

Brands should keep the communication lines open with consumers via online media. Three-fifths of Myanmar consumers say they are spending longer watching online video streaming content (60%), followed by mobile gaming (57%) and social media...
