Consumers prefer discovering new products online than in-store, according to data from customer experience company Bazaarvoice.
Nearly two-thirds (64%) of consumers say they find it easier to browse and discover new items online, compared to just one-third (32%) who say they find it easier when in-store.
Consumers also browse and discover items more frequently when shopping online – 61% of consumers say they do but just 34% say the same about shopping in-store. This may be because consumers enjoy browsing and discovering more when online, at 54% compared to 40% who enjoy more when in-store.
