Half of Singaporeans use a super app, 35% willing to try

An overview of the use of digital media and super apps in Singapore.

One-half (53%) of Singaporeans are using super apps like WeChat, Alipay or Grab and one-third (35%) are willing to try, according to a survey of consumers in February from digital finance platform Wirecard. However, one-tenth (12%) aren't currently using or willing to try.

Super apps are particularly popular for consumers aged below 35 years old, with 61% using them. Just 7% of this age group don't currently use or are willing to try.

In contrast, one-third (30%) of consumers older than 56 years old currently use super apps with the same share (31%) not willing to use them....
