The cost of linear TV advertising is set to accelerate rapidly this year while advanced TV inflation will remain subdued, according to the latest data for the United States from the World Federation of Advertisers.
Linear TV advertising costs rose 9.0% in the last three months of 2020, while advanced TV saw costs rise by just 1.0% in the same period.
Linear TV inflation is set to quicken throughout this year, with 16.4% growth expected at the end of 2021. Advanced TV, however, is projected to see costs grow mildly throughout 2021 before rising 5.3% in Q4 2021....
