Marketers prefer Twitter over TikTok for influencer campaigns

An overview of social platforms that marketers intend to use for influencer campaigns in 2020.

More marketers are planning to use Twitter for influencer marketing than TikTok, according to research from influencer management platform Linqia. In their survey of American marketers who ran an influencer campaign in 2019, 35% said they plan to use Twitter in 2020.

This compares to just 16% who said they will use TikTok this year, despite more 13–16 year-olds using the platform than Facebook.

Overall, Instagram remains dominant – 97% of influencer marketers will run a campaign on the platform in 2020. This remains above four-fifths (83%) for Instagram Stories, while Facebook follows at 79%.
