Mobile is the most popular device for gaming

An overview of video game consumption by device across nine markets and by gender and age group.

Mobile is the clear choice of device for gaming, according to the latest research from Limelight Networks. In eight of the nine countries surveyed, mobile was the most used device by gamers for playing (88.9%). Germany was the only market where laptop and desktop computers were more popular.

In contrast, mobile and computer games were tied for most popular device in 2018, in one-half of countries each. France, Germany and the UK gave preference to laptop and deskop devices last year.
