Most adults will spend more online than in store this year

An overview of whether consumers across 31 markets will spend more money online than in stores this year.

A majority of adults say it is likely they will spend more money online than in stores this year as e-commerce maintains its strong growth, according to data across 31 markets from Ipsos.

Globally, nearly three in five adults (57%) say they will spend more online than in stores. Just one in three (34%) says this is unlikely and that they will instead spend more in stores.

At least two in three adults say they will likely spend more money online than in stores this year in Turkey (84%), China (79%), South Korea (79%), Malaysia (71%), Singapore (70%)...
