Over half of adults feel comfortable buying medications online

An overview of consumer interest in buying prescription medication online across 17 markets.

Interest in digital health services is growing and over half (55%) of adults worldwide say they feel comfortable buying prescription medication online, according to a survey across 17 markets by YouGov.

This rises to three in five adults in China (76%), India (75%), Mexico (69%), Sweden (65%), the United Arab Emirates (62%) and Poland (60%).

Two outliers are France, where only 34% say they would be comfortable buying prescriptions with an online retailer, and Great Britain where consumers are split (45% agree; 45% disagree). Amazon has movedinto the prescription drugs market in the United States and...
