Traditional sports is more popular than e-sports among older gamers, according to a survey across eight markets from video management company Limelight Networks.
Gamers over the age of 36 spend longer watching traditional sports content on both TV and online than they do watching gaming streamers or e-sports tournaments.
In comparison, younger gamers spend longer watching gaming streamers on platforms like Twitch, at an average of four hours per week for those 16–24 years old. This is an hour and a half longer than they spend watching traditional sports content on their TV or online.
