53% of APAC consumers say in-store product discovery is easier

An overview of consumer opinion in Asia Pacific on brand/product discovery and understanding product quality when shopping online.

Shopping online has seen rapid growth in the past year but e-commerce presents new challenges for consumers around brand and product discovery and understanding the quality of products, according to a report from industry analysts Mintel.

Across the 13 markets surveyed, 53% of adults say it is easier to find new brands and products when shopping in store than when online. This rises even higher in India (77%), Thailand (63%) and Indonesia (60%).
