Multiple issues with Twitter's advertising platform have restricted revenue growth, according to the latest company reports. Advertising revenue grew 8.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019, the lowest level in nearly two years.
The company reported that it couldn't target ads and share data as well as it had in previous quarters. This includes collecting device-specific settings for users even when they had said not to. The entire feature has now been removed, even for users who agreed.
