Over 80% of consumers think brands should offer flexible payment during COVID-19 outbreak

An overview of consumer demand on brands to take action during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Over four-fifths of consumers think brands should offer flexible payment terms and free services in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This is according to a survey by GlobalWebIndex across 13 markets from the 16th to 20th of March.

Overall, 83% of consumers said brands should offer flexible payment terms. This is notably higher in the Philippines (94%), Brazil (91%), Italy and Spain (both 90%), and for Gen Z audiences (87%). At least 62% of consumers across the 13 markets support this idea.
