Sports media and streaming services have been most successful in tapping into TikTok's growing popularity, according to an analysis of over 900 branded accounts from streaming analytics company Conviva.
The sports media category, covering brands such as ESPN, had the highest number of followers on TikTok in February 2021, with an average of 1.55m per account. Short-form content like that on TikTok is expected to be the main driver of growth in sports media consumption.
