WhatsApp penetration has reached four-fifths (80.8%) in Chile for the first time, according to the latest data from YouGov and the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. This is up from three-quarters (76.1%) in 2017.
This ties WhatsApp with the Facebook platform, which 81.0% of internet users said they had used in the past week. While WhatsApp has seen steady growth, Facebook has dipped from 82.8% in 2017.
