It seems blindingly obvious today that companies and their leadership teams should know why they exist beyond making a profit. Politicians are becoming increasingly vocal in holding corporations to account, putting personal pressure on leaders to behave in ways that are societally responsible. Powerful evidence is emerging that the problems of people and the planet can only be addressed with the help and resources available to corporations. Some of these corporations are larger than countries, while others are major employers within smaller groupings and communities.
