According to data from HootSuite and We Are Social, the start of 2020 saw a 23% year-on-year increase in internet connectivity, pegging internet users at 4.54 billion people, with 51% of the internet population accessing the internet through smartphones.

The same report showed social media and video consumption ranking high, with OTT performing particularly strong, driven by the likes of Hotstar, MX Player and Netflix. The diversity across social, video and even gaming options in India opens up many possibilities...
