Summary

Just a decade ago tension between the two ethnic groups in Macedonia became actual war. In 2012, the Govt of Macedonia asked for a campaign to re-introduce tolerance. On October 18th, in the garden of a temple in a remote village, religious leaders from both faiths, plus 30 or so followers each, were brought together to worship – 10 metres apart. Filmed and aired on all TV channels. Dominated discussion in other media. Triggered an initiative in Parliament to establish 18th October every year as a National Day of Prayer dedicated to ethnic tolerance and peace....
