Following the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian tourism industry was projected to book a revenue loss of Rs 1.25 trillion in 2020. With consumer trust at an all-time low, and travel restrictions being imposed globally, 2020 was the worst year on record in the history of tourism.
