Summary
Background
In 2018-9, The FA's research into reporting of discrimination within grassroots football delivered three key insights:
- Claimed experience of discrimination was increasing, especially amongst ethnically diverse players
- Many more experiences were claimed than incidents reported
- Levels of reporting were patchy – a minority of County FAs (CFAs) accounted for a majority of reported cases. Numbers of cases reported were disproportionate to the number of teams in a county
