Hypercasual games see quickest mobile growth

An overview of mobile gaming audiences between 2017 and 2020.

Mobile gaming is becoming increasingly casual, according to data from mobile analytics company Sensor Tower.

The hypercasual genre of mobile games, which are easy-to-play and have a minimalistic user interface, accounted for one-third (31%) of all game downloads last year. This is the third year in a row the genre has grown its share.
