YouTube, Facebook failing to attract e-sports fans from Twitch

E-sports content grew rapidly in 2020 but Twitch's dominance means YouTube and Facebook are failing to take market share, according to a WARC Data analysis of research from Streamlabs and Stream Hatchet.

All three platforms reached new heights in 2020, with the number of hours watched on Facebook Gaming almost tripling (+184% to 3.1bn). YouTube Gaming Live doubled its consumption (+97% to 6.2bn) while Amazon-owned Twitch saw a strong increase of 67%
