The story headlined AOL EUROPE TO RELOCATE TO LUXEMBOURG IN TVA TAX DODGE which appeared Tuesday contained an inaccuracy drawn to our attention by an eagle-eyed reader (to whom our thanks).
The article stated: “ … the tiny Grand Duchy which, although part of the EU, opted to become an effective autocracy run by conglomerate-friendly Grand Duke Henri who earlier this year was granted near-feudal powers.” Not so.
It was, in fact, the Principality of Liechtenstein - not Luxembourg – that took that decision earlier this year. Otherwise, to our best belief, the facts contained in the article are accurate.
