World number four advertising group, Paris-headquartered Havas Advertising, is to move New York agency Jordan McGrath out of its Euro RSCG frame and into sibling network Arnold Worldwide Partners.

According to insiders, the realignment presents Arnold’s Boston-based network with the key to its global expansion – a New York office. Arnold, along with its marketing services parent Snyder Communications, was acquired by Havas last year [WAMN: 20-Oct-00].

Jordan McGrath, founded thirty-one years ago, employs 300 staff with $675 million in claimed billings last year. It was integrated into the Euro RSCG network two years ago and numbers among its clients GlaxoSmithKline, Hasbro, Novartis Consumer Health and Procter & Gamble.

A number of Arnold's Boston-serviced clients, including McDonald’s, are expected to move to its new Manhattan office. However, no-one at Havas or in the agencies concerned was available for comment yesterday.
