Cisco, a networking and telecommunications brand, shifted public perceptions of teleworking in Japan and increased Cisco social channel engagement by developing a manga comic depicting teleworking life.

The opportunity

Triggered by the State of Emergency declared by Prime Minister Sinzo Abe due to COVID-19 on April 7, 2020, Japanese companies and employees were in urgent need for work-from-home solutions as well as tips for workers on how to manage telework in their life.

Cisco saw an opportunity to highlight its innovative leadership in leading the telework discussion and driving the digital transformation of Japan through creative PR that differentiates from competitors.
