Grocery foot traffic in Australia has returned to relative normality after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak brought a steep drop, according to the latest anonymised consumer data from Google.
Grocery and pharmacy foot traffic peaked in the middle of March and averaged growth of 10% across the whole month compared to the January and February baseline. However, while foot traffic was down 13% on average in April, it slowed its average decline to 2% in May and was flat in June.
